What were you doing in 1993? To help jog your memory, Meatloaf released the best-selling single of the year, with 'I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)' at number 1 for seven weeks, and Jurassic Park broke box office records. But for us here at John Fraser & Son, the most momentous event of ’93 was that Drew Wheeler joined us as a memorial craftsman, and he has been with us ever since.

At a wonderful private dinner at Ness Walk this month, we celebrated Drew’s amazing milestone, with his wife Roz and sons Euan and Cameron joining the John Fraser & Son family round the table.

It was a night of celebrations and reminiscences, as we looked back on everything that Drew has brought to the business in his three decades with us – so far. We also commissioned a very special cake for him – not many people get the chance to see their own memorial stone, but we couldn’t think of anything more fitting!

Drew is talented, reliable, and a valuable member of the team. Frankly, we don’t know where we’d be without him.

Drew, thank you for the past three decades of your service. We hope you’ll stay with us for a good few years yet – we can’t imagine the place without you!
