Golden Charter Conference

Vicki and Sarah were recently invited to give a presentation to 250 Golden Charter staff at their annual conference in Glasgow. They spoke about 'the role of the funeral director' - allowing insight into the changes and challenges they see in their daily working lives.

Vicki spoke about the history of the business, taking over the reigns from her father, corporate social responsibility and the many facets of the funeral director's role.  Sarah talked about balancing tradition with modern funeral options and technology, and about some of the more unusual requests a funeral director might receive. They encouraged discussion and there were a lot of questions.

Although both had been nervous about speaking in front of so many they agree that it actually turned out to be an enjoyable experience and they have been very pleased with the sparkling feedback received - apparently they're a great double act!

As a thank you for their time they were asked to nominate a charity to receive a donation and have chosen Marie Curie in memory of Vicki's late father.
