Peacefully at home on 9th October 2025, Yvonne Gladys Gunn, aged 84 years, Sutors Gate, Nairn (retired Primary Advisor and Vice President of The Nairn Golf Club). Dearly loved mum of Ivor and Graeme, dear mother in law of Sandra and mother in law to be to Sharon, much loved granny of Steven, Hayley and Jill, step mum to Nicola, and a good friend to many. A celebration of Yvonne’s life will take place on Wednesday 22nd October at 12noon in Nairn Old Parish Church to which all are welcome to attend; thereafter burial private. DUNCAN (Inverness)

After a steady decline in health and courageously living with the latter stages of Parkinson’s disease and related dementia, Gordon McDonald Duncan, aged 85 years, Provost Smith Crescent, Inverness, late of Cannich, passed away on Saturday 4th October 2025 at Raigmore Hospital. As a family we feel truly blessed as he was a loving, devoted and loyal husband, also an adoring, very protective and fun loving dad and grandad. A much respected gentle man to all who knew him. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David George Clare, who left us peacefully whilst in the care of the Highland Hospice on 25th September 2025 at the age of 86. Formerly Section, then Group Manager, Deck Assembly, McDermotts, Ardersier; beloved & cherished husband of Yvonne, devoted & much loved dad of Lisa and Paul, supportive and caring father-in-law of Alison and David, treasured and proud grandad of Kian, Tyler, Shaun, Alehya, and dear brother of Ruth and Audrey, will be missed deeply and remembered with much love and gratitude. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind - a legacy of love, generosity, and a can-do attitude. Forever in our hearts, David - your love lives on in every one of us. TOPPING (INVERNESS)
David and family of the late Linda Topping wish to thank relatives, neighbours and many friends for the kind expressions of sympathy and for the help and support extended to them in their recent sad bereavement. Thanks to all staff at Kingsmills Medical Practice, particularly Drs Anderson and Mathieson for their exceptional care of Linda, especially during her 10 months of palliative care. Grateful thanks also to Donald Mackay at Macmillan Services, Sunflower Carers and the Community Nurses for their home care visits and to all the staff of the Highland Hospice where outstanding care and compassion was extended to Linda during her final days in this life and also for the kindness and compassion extended to David and family during their many visits. A very special thanks to Rev David Scott, Inshes East Church for an exceptionally uplifting service and for his compassionate Christian handling of the interment the following day at Dornoch. Further thanks to Vicki Fraser, Drew Green and team of John Fraser & Son of Chapel Street, Inverness, for their professionalism and excellent care, help and compassion with the funeral arrangements. Thanks to everyone who donated to the Highland Hospice at the church service, realizing a total of £1,315.50

Roni and David wish to thank most sincerely all family, friends and neighbours for sympathy shown to them in their time of bereavement.
