John Fraser & Son, a long-established family business of Funeral Directors and Memorial Sculptors are looking to recruit an experienced Secretary to be responsible for providing an effective support to their team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for clients, on the phone and in person
- Answering and directing high volume of incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system
- Responding to large volume of emails, letters and other correspondence
- Scheduling appointments on a multi diary basis
- Providing administrative support to our team of Funeral Directors
- Raise estimates and invoices and filing appropriately
- Cash handling and banking
- Advise clients on pre-paid funeral plans
- Advise clients on Memorials
- General administration duties
Requirements:
- An ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Respect, patience and empathy in supporting bereaved families
- Dependability
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and establish a positive working relationship with clients
- Experience working in a fast-paced, busy environment whilst maintaining accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills, allowing you to prioritise and move seamlessly between tasks
- Competent and experienced in the use of MS Office packages, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A full valid UK driver's licence is required for this post
