Racing around the 10K to raise money for SNAP
On Sunday 1st October eight intrepid members of the John Fraser & Son family will be lacing up our trainers to tackle the Baxter’s 10K River Ness Corporate Challenge for charity.
Team members Vicki, Sarah, Mike, and James will be taking part, and – underlining how much of a family our family business is – they will be joined by Sarah’s husband Gordon, James’s fiancée Sophie, and Drew Wheeler’s wife Roz and son Euan.
While for many the race itself is a reason for taking part, the team here have a greater ulterior motive, and that’s to raise much-needed funds for a charity that is very close to our hearts, SNAP Inverness. Since the 1990s SNAP have been supporting children and young people with additional support needs, and in doping that, provide support for their wider families too. We know first-hand just how much that support means to the people who receive it, and how difficult SNAP have found it in recent times to help all those who come to them in need.
We have come up with two ways for you to help us to help SNAP.
First, if you’ve been meaning for a while to arrange a memorial for a loved one, if you contact us about that between now and October, we will donate £25 from the costs of your memorial to the charity.
Our friendly team will talk you through all your choices regarding type of granite, lettering, design, and erection, and as we carry the widest stock of granite in the Highlands, we are confident there will be something that perfectly reflects your loved one’s personality.
A memorial can be erected in any mainland Highland or Moray Cemetery within 8-10 weeks, and for as little as £750, including all VAT and cemetery fees. So there has never been a better time to create that lasting memorial.
